I don't google my name very often.

But, a few years ago I got curious. So I typed my name into the search bar, hit enter, and there it was: Dana's Dilemma, A Dana Morgan Mystery. By Connie Terpack.

I had never seen my name used in any kind of media. Never on a TV show or in a book. This was a first. And, it was kind of cool to see. 

Countless authors over the ages have created an unfathomable amount of characters. But, how many characters turn around and publish a fictional book about the author? 

Being a Dana Morgan I thought, what if I wrote a book called Connie's Dilemma, A Connie Terpack Mystery? And, being a designer, I followed my immediate instinct to change the copy around on the cover. 

​At first it was just a little laugh for me but then I seriously started thinking about writing the book. And, the idea became a fun challenge for me.

What would Connie's dilemma be?

And, when inspiration struck, I started writing.

As the book was becoming more of a reality, I decided it needed a true cover, not just one hi-jacked from the original (as humorous as that is to me). So, I created a design of my own.

I'm mid-way through writing the book and I have to say, it's challenging. I've written other books but ALWAYS used a pen name. But, in order for this joke to land, I HAVE to use my real name. And, that's extremely intimidating. 

I find myself second guessing the dialogue. Questioning if I'm being consistent with how the different character's personalities would act, etc. But, I'm determined to finish it. And, when I do, I'll post the Amazon link here.
