Concept Horer 3D Sstrlce is a book of vintage-looking sci-fi art created using Canva's "Text to Image" AI function. Using various prompts, I was able to create a collection of unique sci-fi characters and worlds.

Horer 3D Sstrlce: New Vintage Sci-fi Art Using AI

As soon as I found out about Canva's "Text to Image" function that uses AI to create any kind of image you would need, I was fascinated. I had already experimented with other text to AI like Craiyon and Midjourney. Although I think AI will destroy us all one day, I still enjoy throwing prompts to it now to see what it spits out. 

Horer 3D Sstrlce began when I first started using Canva's AI for character studies for some very big future projects I have planned. The images it created were so cool that my imagination began to run wild and I wanted to see all of these different characters and planets. Before I knew it, I had created over 400 images and as I scrolled through them I found myself wanting to see them all together in a book. 

The title was created by AI as well. It was at the top of one of the images and its oddness of sort of being words, but not really, felt fitting for a book of images that display similar oddness. That's also why I have my author name in Cyrillic. They're somewhat familiar symbols but still don't make sense to me, someone who does not speak or read Russian.

As I laid out the spreads, I noticed that each spread felt like a different sci-fi tale. I would create narratives of who the characters were and what they were experiencing. So, that may just be my next book, one that helps break the curse of writer's block with images to inspire the first nuggets of creativity for the next great adventure tale.
