I'm surprised. Are you surprised?Vlogging just ins't something I ever expected North Korea to be up to. But, I guess with their still new and young leader, maybe I should have expected something like this. Echo of Truth is a YouTube channel that has "vlogs" straight from Pyongyang. It's eerie to watch people "shopping" when you know they've probably never experienced that before. The supposedly casual conversations with passerbys seem extremely scripted and cult like. No judgement on the people, I would be acting the same way if me and my whole family could be sent to a work camp and/or be murdered over the slightest offense. But, what pains me most is seeing North Koreans so close to food but almost never eating any of it. I just look at their eyes looking at the food in front of them and it's heartbreaking. It's especially alarming since recently Kim Jong-un banned pet dogs, calling dog ownership selfish and confiscating citizen's pet dogs putting them down to use them for food. Goose Boose did a deep dive of North Korean Propaganda Vlogs below. It's an excellent watch. And, he gives a great overview of just the utter creepiness of these vlogs as well as some North Korean history.
