Dan Carlin, my man.

Where do I even start with Hardcore History? This podcast always blows my mind. The level of depth of research that Dan and his team do is mind boggling.

I've realized over the years that I LOVE history. And, I especially love being able to learn about times in history in great depth.

Being very visual, I can easily get sucked into 3D recreations of towns, cities, and monuments throughout history. They transport me to that time. And, I am lost in wonder about how the inhabitants lives were, what they dreamt of, what they loved, and how they lived day to day. Hardcore History, for me, is an audio version of that.

I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I listened to his 5 part series on Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire called Wrath of the Khans. It was that impactful (I was building an electronic cabinet at the machine shop I worked at).

If you listen to anything, I insist it's the Wrath of the Khans. It is a stroke of luck that Europe still exists and was not overtaken by a massive hoard of Steppe warriors that you could smell before you could see.

Pardon my French but, this podcast is the tits.

It's a refreshingly positive podcast about all the wonderful things the future could bring. Not sure about you, but I'm tired of the doom and gloom of our current world politics. Black rock trying to convince us all to eat "plant-based" and "go green". Not because the Earth needs us to but because they can maximize their profits in a budding industry.

This podcast steers us back to sanity with episodes like The New Age of Nuclear about how one company is trying to work around the sluggish and dated nuclear energy world to provide safe, clean, and affordable nuclear energy to everyone. And, Reprogramming Cells, Decentralizing Pharma, and Understanding the Biotech Revolution where I feel like one day, I might be able to reprogram my body and have my health back.

All I want to do is eat a steak and listen to this podcast. It's the perfect antidote to all the BS out there.

A goldmine of information.

If you're interested in health, longevity, and/or healing, this is the podcast for you. It is chuck full of helpful material about our bodies and how we heal. I learn something new with each episode and I'm someone that has been researching healing modalities for over a decade now while trying to heal myself. So, I've heard a lot of what's out there.

I appreciate how Matt Blackburn deep dives, tries out tons of stuff, and admits when he got something wrong in the past & shifts his opinions based on new information. So much of the health world is dogmatic and rigid. Sadly, I've gotten sucked into that many times but, one thing I've learned over and over is that there is no "one way" to heal and no "one answer".
This podcast takes me down so many rabbit holes of health. One rabbit hole I especially enjoyed is episode 188 about PEMF with Bryant Meyers. The sound was a bit choppy on Bryant's end for most of the episode that made it a bit challenging to listen to but the information was so interesting that it made it worth the effort.

PEMF stands for Pulsed ElectroMagnetic fields. And, according to Bryant's website, there have been "more than 10,000 scientific papers" written on PEMF and "2,000 double blind studies" done on PEMF. The longevity science alone makes me really excited about this technology. I want to try it out so bad but with high quality PEMF mats starting at just over $5,000, it might be awhile before I get my hands on one. In the meantime, I'm going to continue to learn about PEMF as it is fascinating!
Something I really enjoyed learning was that reiki healers emit pulsed magnetic fields, the same technology as these mats but from our own hands. Something most people don't know about me is that I've always had energy coming out of my hands. I've never understood it. It's happened my whole life. It's much weaker now than when I was a kid. And, when I learned about reiki, I became certified in it but never practiced it because it seemed so hokey, even though the energy that has flowed through my palms has been so noticeable my whole life. It's nice to actually know what that energy is now and that it has been tested. While I was married, I learned that the energy that comes out of my palms does heal. I did reiki on my husband almost every day working to relieve his headaches and pain in his ankle.

The YouTube videos embedded here are from Bryant's YouTube channel if you're curious to learn more. Be sure to check out that episode (linked above). And, to check out the Mito Life podcast itself, just click the button below.

This podcast is fascinating.

I find myself getting sucked into and excited for the next episode of this podcast. It goes beyond the talking heads of modern politics and dives into what and who are really pulling the strings.

It's refreshing, insightful, and down right interesting.

Even though I'm not religious, I find myself listening to their biblical episodes as well. I've noticed, what really turns me off of religion, besides all the rules, are how arrogant preachers come off. I cannot stand listening to a lecture/being lectured. Especially when you know most people do not practice what they preach.

The way the Iconic guys explain the Bible is so refreshing. There's no ego involved. They're just two people having a discussion and explaining things as they interpret them. It has really opened the door to another world for me.
