Wallpaper and Textile Design | Polaroïd

Meet Polaroïd, a cigar-box-style quirky and bizarre pattern for wallpaper and textiles.

This design was time consuming but so much fun to make! I really enjoyed combining the colors and ornaments with various vintage illustrations and quotes from one of my favorite songs. Each little graphic reminded me of a photo, a snapshot in time coming together to make one unusual story. Some of the graphics I used to make this design are here in my RawPixel inspo board. They're Royalty Free images and free to download from RawPixel. So, you can collage together these elements into your own design. I was inspired by the colors and layout of this box featured by Dolce & Gabbana to create the cigar box style graphics. 

Instead of hazelnuts, I decided to use more peculiar and unexpected imagery. 

​But I stuck with their color palette of pink, blues, and reds combined with painted imagery framed with ornaments.
